SWANApalooza 2017

March 27–30, 2017 | Reno, Nevada

What Professional Challenges Keep You Up at Night?

Who do you look to for fresh ideas… or are YOU the person that colleagues come to with their trials and tribulations, seeking your wise counsel?

The deadline for the 2017 SWANApalooza call for proposals has been extended to 5:00 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, August 19, 2016, for the events scheduled for March 27–30, 2017, in Reno, Nevada. While it seems like that is a long time from now, a lot of effort goes into reviewing and selecting proposals that will make the best presentations and develop a cohesive conference agenda that focuses on current hot topics. Any proposal you submit will be evaluated by a review committee from the appropriate technical division(s) and speaker invitations will be issued in October or November.

Let’s see what you have to offer the solid waste community!

You can find the information on the Call for Proposals for each SWANApalooza event listed below:

40th Annual Landfill Gas and Biogas Symposium

Theme: CH4-CH4-CH4-CH4-Changes: How Will Landfill Gas and Biogas be Affected?

With changing regulations, a new federal administration, organics diversion, and an uncertain energy market, the Program Committee seeks multimedia presentations that involve the audience in a discussion about what’s next for the industry. Your proposal should include a description of your creative ways to engage learners and enhance the learning process as well as the content you will cover.

Road to Zero Waste Conference

Theme: The Long and Winding Road to Sustainable Materials Management

The Road to Zero Waste is not a straight one. What drives your community’s decisions on how to invest your solid waste budget, staff time and attention in deciding what to divert and where it goes, what to recycle and how to collect it, and how to educate community members to make your program successful? What does the future of the reduce-reuse-recycle hierarchy look like in your area? Your proposal should include a description of your creative ways to engage learners and enhance the learning process as well as the content you will cover.
