Waste Management & Research 2017 Call for Papers

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) and the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) are happy to announce a call for papers for Waste Management and Research’s ISWA World Congress Special Issue 2017.

The focus topics for the Special Issue are:

  • Climate Change
  • Circular Economy
  • Closing Dumpsites
  • Resource Management
  • Smart Technologies
  • Energy Recovery

The best papers of the Special Issue will be presented in the WM&R Special Session at the ISWA 2017 World Congress. These papers will be published in a Special Issue of the WM&R journal.

The papers published in the Special Issue will be available online with open access and can be downloaded for free, enabling a wide distribution of articles. SAGE and ISWA will promote the special issue via our media channels. Printed versions will be distributed to the international audience at the Congress, all ISWA members and WM&R subscribers.

Articles will be included in the index of major databases including:

Web of Science, Scopus, and the Special Issues index on the Waste Management & Research home page.

All submissions will undergo an expedited peer-review procedure in order to secure publication on time for the event.

If you are interested in having your paper included in the ISWA World Congress 2017 Special Issue, please submit your paper via the WM&R online submission system until January 31, 2017.
