Here are some last-minute tidbits of information and answers to frequently-asked questions regarding the ISWA World Congress & WASTECON® 2017, September 25–27, 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland.


No, we do not validate for parking.

The Inner Harbor has several restaurants. Close suggestions: Pratt Street Ale House, Chipotle, Chik-fil-A, Jimmy John’s, Starbucks. (A Starbucks is also located in the 300 Level of the Convention Center.)

Check with the porter or bellhop at the front of your hotel. We do not have a luggage check for the conference. Please note: neither ISWA, SWANA nor the Baltimore Convention Center is responsible for lost or stolen property.

Neither ISWA, SWANA nor the Baltimore Convention Center is responsible for items lost at the conference or tradeshow. We do not accept found items. Check with your hotel front desk or concierge.


You can add a special event or tour to your existing registration. Please go to the Registration counter for changes and add-ons.

Yes, they can attend, but they must register. Special event tickets are available for sale. You can register at any registration counter.

General sessions are in Ballrooms I and II on Level 400 of the Convention Center. Breakout sessions are all located on Level 300. Please check the mobile app or your program.

After the Conference, you will receive a survey via email. After completing the survey, you will then receive a link to the conference proceedings.

There is no transportation provided to the Golf Tournament. Golfers should meet at the Woodlands Golf Course:

Speakers, Moderators and Proctors

What day is your session? Look in the mobile app or in the program.

You can leave your presentation at the Speaker Ready Room (Room 313) on Level 300 of the Convention Center. If your session is within the next 45 minutes, you will have to take the presentation to your session and load it on the computer yourself.

Yes, Room 313.

Look for the SWANA staff person assigned to monitor the Speaker Ready Room (Room 313). If he or she is unavailable, ask your proctor to contact SWANA staff at the Registration/Membership desk for assistance. If this is a medical emergency, dial 911 and contact SWANA staff.

Check in at the Registration Desk on the first level as soon as it opens. A SWANA staff person should meet with proctors each morning prior to session start.


Go to the Assisted Registration counter for changes and add-ons. There are no waiting lists.

All facility tours on Thursday meet 30 minutes prior to its scheduled departure in Room 309. All mobile sessions (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) will meet at the Charles Street Service Drive.

Check-in for all tours begins 30 minutes prior to listed start time.

Yes, you will get lunch on the bus or at the facility.
