John Boss Speaks At SWANA Conference

John F. Boss, PE, past director of the Solid Waste Association of North America's (SWANA) Landfill Management Division and California Gold Rush Chapter President, presented the keynote address at SWANA's Landfill Symposium and Planning and Management Conference in San Diego, CA earlier today. Boss spoke about the latest landfill technology and trends and what they mean for the future of the solid waste industry. Boss's address highlighted current California initiatives and issues as a reference point for the future.
SWANA Executive Director and CEO John H. Skinner, Ph.D., commented on Boss's presentation, saying, "John is one of the foremost experts in the field of landfill management, to have him share his vision for the future of the industry with our attendees was a great pleasure."
John Boss has been a member of SWANA since 1970. He has won numerous awards, including the SWANA Professional Achievement Award in 2006, the Special Award in 2004, the Corporate Member of the Year Award in 2003, and the Gold Rush Chapter Outstanding Service Award in 1997.
