The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is pleased to announce its participation in an innovative, educational television series focusing on topics relating to solid waste management. The series, "We're Green and Growing," will be produced by IPITV, a private production company, in coordination with IPITV's Business Today.

"This partnership is a great opportunity to educate the public on the importance of environmentally and economically sound solid waste management practices," commented John H. Skinner, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO of SWANA. "This television series will give us the opportunity to draw attention to the solid waste management issues on a much larger scale," said Skinner.

Each thirty minute episode of the show will open with an introduction by SWANA. IPITV's television programming focuses on educating the public about important issues, thus, the selection of SWANA as a partner is a natural choice, given their mission, "To advance the practice of environmentally and economically sound management of municipal solid waste in North America."

"Partnering with SWANA for this series is an exciting opportunity for IPITV.The solid waste management sector employs over 300,000 people and generates nearly $40 billion a year in revenues, but lacks the glamour of a lot of other industries. It is important for the public to be made aware of the environmentally positive

things these professionals are doing, and that is what we hope to accomplish with this series," said Jim Callahan, Creative Director for IPITV.
