SWANA Announces John F. Boss As 2006 Professional Achievement Award Winner

The Executive Committee (EC) of SWANA's International Board (IB) recently selected John F. Boss, P.E. to receive the Association's Professional Achievement Award.

Mr. Boss has 40 years of professional engineering experience, of which the last 29 have been exclusively technical and managerial experience in the waste management field. He has served as a technical advisor, project director, and senior consultant on a wide variety of solid waste management assignments and has served as a regional solid waste program manager. Mr. Boss is a Retired SWANA member.

SWANA's Executive Director and CEO, John H. Skinner, Ph.D., commended this year's honoree: "John Boss has demonstrated a passion for excellence in the solid waste profession. For 40 years he remained committed to the advancement of the industry and is very deserving to be recognized as this year's Professional Achievement Award winner."

Recognition of this achievement will occur at the WASTECON 2006 Awards Luncheon in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday, September 21, 2006.

SWANA'S Professional Achievement Awards Program was established over a decade ago to recognize individual achievement and commitment to the association as well as economically and environmentally sound management of solid waste and public health/environmental protection.
