WASTECON: A Growing Success
WASTECON 2006 came to an end on Thursday as SWANA and the solid waste field bid farewell to Charlotte, North Carolina.
"This year's show was a great success for everyone who attended," commented SWANA Executive Director and CEO, John Skinner, Ph.D., continuing "The show floor was well attended, the technical sessions and training events were full, and the various networking events successfully brought thousands of solid waste professionals together."
This year there were over 3,500 registrants with attendance 20 percent higher than last year.
"We would like to thank our exhibitors and sponsors, the North Carolina SWANA Chapter, and all o the speakers and training course faculty that contributed to this year's event," said Skinner, continuing, "Because of your hard work and dedication, WASTECON continues to be the premier show put on by and for solid waste professionals."
