SWANA available to discuss America Recycles Day and important developments relating to the U.S. recycling industry

Silver Spring, MD – The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is recognized as a leading subject matter expert concerning the current challenges and opportunities facing recycling. SWANA has also been  providing guidance and information to municipal and private sector waste and recycling operations to help protect worker and public health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

SWANA Executive Director and CEO David Biderman and SWANA Advocacy & Safety Senior Manager Jesse Maxwell are available to answer questions from the media concerning recycling, America Recycles Day, and the upcoming U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2020 America Recycles: Summit.

EPA will announce the first-ever voluntary national recycling goals at its Summit on November 17. A proposed National Recycling Strategy will also be discussed. Biderman will be a featured speaker during the Summit, and will discuss implementation of the National Recycling Strategy and Goals.
