The buzz word "circular economy" has been an increasingly popular term in our industry, and deemed as a necessary shift in order for us to move towards a more just, and sustainable means of managing our materials. As defined by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF), the circular economy is based on the three principles of eliminating waste and pollution, circulating products and materials (at their highest value) and regenerating nature.

These principles are largely driven by design, and decouples economic activity from the consumption of finite resources. According to EMF, the circular economy is "… a resilient system that is good for business, people and the environment," and a system in which everyone can play a role in co-creating.

Join this webinar to learn from circular economy champions around the nation on their journey toward advancing the circular economy in their communities. Furthermore, learn how to identify your own role and the tangible steps you can take, as an individual or organization, on creating circular economies in your communities. Presentations will be followed by a live question and answer session with the panelists.
