To qualify for Student Membership in SWANA, you must be a full-time student (undergraduate or grad student). All full-time students are welcome to join and will benefit from SWANA resources, especially if you have an interest in environmental sciences, resource management, solid waste management, communications and outreach, environmental policy, community planning, or related fields.

SWANA continues our promotional partnership with Campus Race to Zero Waste (formerly RecycleMania) to share Stemming the Tide: Taking Action on Campus Against Plastic Pollution. Published by the National Wildlife Federation, Stemming the Tide is for students, clubs, resident advisors, staff, and faculty to use as a resource to get started and tackle plastics on campus.
