Carl Niizawa

Carl Niizawa was inducted into the Landfill Gas Technical Division Hall of Flame in 2007.

Carl has been involved in multiple aspects of the landfill gas industry. From development with Getty Synthetic Fuels, consulting engineer with HDR and Weston, vendor with Landfill Gas & Environmental Products, and in the municipal sector with San Diego County and the nearby Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority. He now serves as the Deputy City Engineer for the City of Salinas. Carl has been a regular attendee of SWANA landfill gas conferences for almost 20 years.
