The Waste Conversion & Energy Recovery Technical Division (WCER) provides a forum for waste management professionals committed to the reduction and conversion of waste into valuable products, fuel, and energy, as well as the recovery of materials for re-use and recycling.
The WCER focuses on increasing the profile of waste conversion within integrated waste management systems. Waste conversion technologies support increased recycling rates, generate clean energy and/or products, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and lower greenhouse gas emissions through the diversion of waste from landfills.
The WCER promotes the exchange of experience, information, and innovation for waste-to-energy facilities alongside research, development, and adoption of demonstrated and developmental waste conversion technologies.
You must be a member of both SWANA and the Technical Division to join a committee.
