The certification period is good for three (3) years. During those three years, you are responsible for accumulating 30 Professional Development Hours (PDHs), formerly known as CEUs, to be eligible for recertification.
To check your Certification status:
Maintaining certification requires two steps:
Obtain 30 Professional Development Hours (PDHs), formerly referred to as CEUs, within the three-year certification term.
Explore Opportunities to Earn PDHs »
Submit a certification renewal application with the $250 renewal fee* per certification discipline PRIOR to the expiration of your three-year certification term.
*Please note that the certification renewal fee does NOT include your membership fee; membership fees are collected separately and annually.
If your certification has expired, you will need to retake the certification exam and pass it with 70 percent or more to recertify. Please visit our Online Testing Page for more information on how to take the exam.
The number of PDHs awarded will vary depending on the training option. Check your certification status here.
