Prior to RCon, SWANA announced the recipients of the 2026 Awards, honoring excellence in waste and resource management. SWANA rolled out the red carpet for this year’s awardees at 18Rails, located in a renovated industrial building in Midtown. Learn more about our 2026 award recipients.
New this year, the Circularity Forum co-located with RCon®, providing attendees with two impactful events in one trip. Hosted by the National Recycling Coalition, in partnership with CircularSTL, Race to Zero Waste, MidAmerica Clean Future Alliance, and the Illinois Recycling Foundation, this event convened stakeholders for regional action and national impact.
The National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA) convened its annual Fall Safety & Standards Meetings ahead of RCon. Members of NWRA's ANSI-Accredited Standards Committee, Safety Committee, and related subcommittees came together to address key safety priorities, advance industry standards, and share operational best practices. The meeting also featured NWRA's joint session with SWANA’s Safety Committee, providing a valuable opportunity to collaborate on safety initiatives and advocacy efforts that support the future of the industry.
