Viraj deSilva PhD, PE, BCEE

Viraj deSilva is the wastewater treatment director and liquids management national expert at SCS Engineers. Dr. deSilva has conducted projects throughout the United States and 12 other countries. He is experienced in the evaluation, sizing and design of treatment processes for water, wastewater, leachate and solids handling facilities during his 30 years of experience in the field.

Dr. deSilva is a national PFAS expert and has published PFAS journal articles and delivered several PFAS technical presentations at national level conferences. Currently, he serves in several PFAS technical committees and serves as an advisor in PFAS research at the University of Miami, Florida, and supporting PFAS research activities at the University of Central Florida, and North Carolina State University. He chairs PFAS technical sessions at national level industry conferences.
