For more than three decades, Elizabeth Roe has been helping public agencies and private companies communicate with the public about recycling, waste reduction, water pollution prevention, sustainability, and more. Specializing in high-quality, cost-effective, local newsletters, Eco Partners serves communities across the United States. Elizabeth has led sessions on communications planning and messaging across media channels at various state, regional, and national conferences.
Elizabeth has been involved with SWANA since the 1990s and a member since the early 2000s. She has served in leadership positions in the Communication, Education & Marketing (CEM), Landfill Management (LFM), and Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Technical Divisions. Most recently, she served as the Advisory Board Representative for the SMM Technical Division, the co-chair of the Landfill Rebranding Committee (a joint committee of the LFM and the CEM Technical Divisions), and the chair of the Advisory Board.
A long-time Hoosier, Elizabeth serves on the Scholarship Committee for the Indiana Chapter. With a recent move to Arizona, she is now also a proud member of the Arizona Chapter.
A teacher by training, Elizabeth continues to enjoy her role as a mentor through SWANA's Mentor Match program. She values the relationships she's formed with her mentees, many of whom are now in leadership positions in the industry and with SWANA.
