SWANA is pleased to announce this year's winners of the 2007 Excellence Awards. The Awards program for demonstrated excellence in the field of Solid Waste Management was created to recognize outstanding facilities, operations and programs committed to the "environmentally and economically sound management of solid waste," while at the same time, encouraging innovation. Each of SWANA's eight technical divisions has at least one award category through which they identify top-notch facilities, operations and programs. Award winners will be honored at WASTECON 2007 in Reno Nevada, Thursday, October 18 and also recognized throughout the year in SWANA newsletters, as well as in online and onsite events.
"SWANA is proud to recognize the 2007 Excellence Award Winners and their dedication to advancing environmentally and economically sound solid waste management practices," said John Skinner, Ph. D., SWANA Executive Director and CEO. "These organizations are an inspiration to others in the solid waste industry."
