SWANA Launches Recruit-A-Member Contest

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) has launched the Recruit-A-Member Contest which runs through September 1, 2007. SWANA members can play an integral role in helping SWANA maintain its status as the premier authority in the solid waste field. SWANA members who recruit new members receive prizes in addition to the benefits of belonging to an expanded network of solid waste professional contacts. Every SWANA member who recruits a new member through the contest will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card, and have his or her name entered into a drawing for a $100 American Express Card.

"SWANA members have contacts who would appreciate hearing about the many ways SWANA membership can benefit them," says John H. Skinner, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO of SWANA. "This contest provides an opportunity for current SWANA members to help those contacts, win prizes, and strengthen SWANA's pool of knowledge and experience."

SWANA members can download special contest membership applications and an overview of member benefits to pass along to their colleagues, or new members can join online. More information about the contest can be found at www.SWANAstore.com.
