Winner Announced At SWANA’s Landfill Gas Symposium

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) announced Thomas A. Shuput, Vice President, SCS Engineers, as winner of the 2008 Landfill Gas Technical Division Distinguished Individual Achievement Award at today’s 31st Annual Landfill Gas Symposium Luncheon in Houston, Texas.

Shuput, a long term contributing SWANA member and Landfill Gas (LFG) Technical Division Member, currently serves the as the Division’s Program Committee Chair.  He previously held the Vice Director and Director titles, and is a member of the Division’s Hall of Flame.

As a business development specialist at SCS Engineers, Shuput is responsible for significantly impacting the company’s growth and success.  Prior to joining SCS, Shuput began his professional career with Getty Synthetic Fuels in 1979, where he participated in groundbreaking projects and studies, which are the basis for much of what we know about landfill gas recovery today.
