This fall, Ezra Osorio, a dynamic environmental engineer from the Philippines, is part of the YSEALI cohort focusing on environmental issues. YSEALI Professional Fellows: Connecting Minds for Sustainability

The YSEALI Professional Fellows Program offers young professionals, aged 25-35, from Southeast Asia a 5.5-week opportunity to collaborate with American counterparts. ICMA, a key program facilitator, brings together emerging leaders to work with non-profits, government bodies, and private-sector offices across the US. Environmental sustainability takes center stage in this exchange, aligning with the global call for action.

Ezra Osorio: Leading Change in Environmental Engineering

Ezra Osorio, Philippines: Ezra Osorio is currently a design environmental engineer at AMH Philippines, Inc., an academically linked and ISO 9001:2015-certified consulting firm. He obtained both his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and his master’s degree in environmental engineering at one of the leading universities in the Philippines, the University of the Philippines Diliman. He has more than three years of experience in solid waste management, plastic surveys, and environmental impact assessment. He has collaborated with communities, the public and private sectors, as well as non-governmental and international organizations such as the World Bank and the World Wide Fund for Nature, on over twenty projects. He is a pioneer in microplastics research in the country and one of the technical members involved in the creation of plastic flow analysis on a national scale. He is a Climate Reality Leader and volunteers to teach youth and students about sustainable waste management.
