SOAR 2022- What do you want to hear about?

SWANA’s annual technical conference is coming up fast, and soon SWANA will be looking for content for the conference.

The SOAR conference, formerly SWANApalooza, is the conference that focuses on the technical forms of solid waste management. At SOAR you can participate in panel discussions, technical training, including certification courses, presentations, and of course, the trade show. But let’s not forget the most important part of the conferences, we will be able to collaborate and network in person. This will create a support that only other solid waste professionals can provide to other solid waste professionals.

The SOAR conference is your opportunity to educate other professionals on the amazing things you are working on. This technical conference provides an ideal outlet to bring challenges and triumph to colleagues and peers. SWANA is currently looking for ideas for presentations and topics, and encourages members to submit  papers for consideration.

The Call for Papers will be done a little differently this year, please register your papers at https://swana.swoogo.com/soar-cfp. This year the technical divisions are looking for content that looks at a variety of items. Some of those will be: FAS, waste recovery, emerging technologies, labor shortages, recycling and contamination, outreach programs, economics of recycling, or operations or challenges with funding, plus so much more. Proposals will be accepted until September 20, 2021.
