Key chassis partners will provide additional perspective on the roadmap for emerging technologies and insights on the path to widespread market adoption. Attendees will also learn about the service, training, and maintenance associated with incorporating new technology into a fleet.

Tim Bath
Senior Vice President of Hauling | Rumpke

Tim Bath is the Senior Vice President of hauling for Rumpke Waste & Recycling – a family-owned and operated firm with service throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia. Tim holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Cincinnati. He earned his MBA from Ohio University, with a concentration in business analytics. Tim also completed Xavier University’s lean certification and project management certification programs.



Marc de Smidt
Senior Director of Engineering | New Way Trucks

Starting his career in the South African Air Force, Marc De Smidt worked on balancing and tracking helicopter and fixed wing aircraft. This led to the completion of his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Marc then moved on to mining equipment, first on 6x6 Rock trucks then onto underground and heavy surface mining equipment. After completing his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management Marc became involved in the Class 8 trucking environment where his willingness to roll under a refuse truck lead to many developments focusing on providing customers innovative solutions to problems that they experience. His hands on approach to understand issues experienced by operations as well as maintenance and finding solutions to these issues is well respected in the industry today.

 

 
Paul Marsolan
Chief Software Officer | Battle Motors

As Chief Software Officer at Battle Motors, Paul Marsolan brings more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity and software innovation to lead the company’s technology vision. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Paul began his career with a deep passion for innovation and a dedication to securing digital ecosystems in an increasingly connected world. At Battle Motors, Paul’s strategic insight and hands-on leadership drive the integration of intelligent software solutions across all vehicle platforms. He is the architect of Fortris™, Battle Motors’ new software platform that powers vehicle connectivity, diagnostics, and performance optimization. In addition, Paul created the RevolutionOS™ Smart Dashboard, a proprietary system that enhances driver experience through advanced data visualization and intuitive control. His forward-thinking approach continues to position Battle Motors at the forefront of modern commercial vehicle technology. 

Prior to joining Battle Motors, Paul co-founded two pioneering technology ventures. In 2002, he launched S-Mobile Systems, one of the first companies dedicated to mobile device security. Later, in 2011, he co-founded InAuth, serving as Chief Technology Officer, where he led the development of advanced authentication and fraud detection systems that reshaped digital transaction security worldwide. Beyond his professional work, Paul is a dedicated advocate for STEM education and an active mentor to emerging technologists. His career reflects an enduring commitment to innovation, cybersecurity, and empowering the next generation of software leaders.

 


Kelli McConahey
Director of Marketing | New Way Trucks

Kelli McConahey is Director of Marketing & Communications for New Way Trucks and has been working in the waste industry for nearly 13 years serving in various marketing and business development roles. Kelli previously worked with Oshkosh Corporation, leading the marketing team for McNeilus. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications-Journalism.
