Waste Commission of Scott County

Join us in celebrating two Waste Commission of Scott County leaders!

First, many congratulations to Kathy Morris on her well-deserved retirement after 34 years of service to the Waste Commission of Scott County! As a dedicated advocate, partner, and mentor in the solid waste industry, the Commission has grown in terms of staff, services, and programs during her tenure. Enjoy your retirement, Kathy!

And we’d like to announce our next Executive Director, Bryce Stalcup! Bryce has 17 years of experience in public service and began his career with the Waste Commission of Scott County in 2010. He most recently served as the Recycling Operations Manager and Deputy Director. Bryce will formally acquire the Executive Director position on November 26, 2023.

SCS Engineers

SCS Engineers, a leading global environmental solutions provider, announced that the firm’s Board of Directors elected Doug Doerr as President and Chief Executive Officer. Check out the new CEO’s video greeting.

James Walsh, the current President and CEO, will turn over his responsibilities to Doerr on Jan. 1, 2024.
