I have 14 years of experience working with associations in a broad range of industries and in varying roles, with an emphasis on meetings and events oversight and strategy. In 2019, I took a fork in the road and moved into a corporate role with a global travel management company where I oversaw a team of North American-based event planners.
After five years working in a corporate environment, I felt a pull to return to associations. I love the passion and commitment you experience as an association staff member and the ability you have to make a substantial impact for an industry.
I will be responsible for planning and operation of WASTECON® and SOAR as well as supporting other meetings and events activity for SWANA’s Board of Directors and Learning and Development Department.
I believe my expansive experience in association operations, combined with my expertise in meetings and events, will enable me to bring valuable ideas and strategies to SWANA as we move forward.
I have two children, Oliver (age 4) and Logan (age 2), and they keep me very busy. I love to travel and have visited many cities across North America and abroad. My list of places to visit continues to grow. I am a foodie at heart and am in my happy place when in a restaurant with a well-thought-out atmosphere, enjoying good food and good conversation.
