YP Spotlight: Hope Huber

The SWANA Young Professionals (YP) group continues to grow and expand across the country. SWANA YP members have been busy this past year speaking at SWANA events, leading teams, mentoring students and making strides in every aspect of the industry. Let’s get to know some of these upcoming industry leaders!

Meet Hope Huber - Product & Marketing Specialist

Hope is a Product & Marketing Specialist at Recyclist — a solid waste and recycling digital solutions company. She graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2019 with a BA in Earth and Environmental Studies and spent a few years working in nonprofits before moving to the Recyclist. Hope joined Recyclist in October of 2021 as part of the Public Education department. Since becoming a part of the team, Hope has been instrumental in bringing on new customers who are now sharing Recyclist’s public education tools with their residents. Hope loves connecting her customers to tools like Recyclist’s web-based Ultimate Recycling Guide, which helps solid waste and recycling managers easily inform their residents on how to recycle just about anything in their community. Hope enthusiastically spends each day improving this recycling guide to better educate customers and users.

When asked about her time as a YP, Hope said, “Since joining SWANA as a YP Member, I have found nothing but consistent support, educational and networking opportunities, and access to poignant industry discussions. I cannot wait to continue enriching my career alongside fellow SWANA members. I’m looking forward to meeting active members at the SWANA Western Regional Symposium, and hoping to join the Mentor Match program soon.”
