As Web and technology make new strides every day, so has the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) with the launching of the WASTECON 2007 blog, "Around the Bin." The WASTECON blog is now open and will be available during and after WASTECON 2007. The blog consists of WASTECON 2007 daily activities through the eyes of SWANA members via digital photography, written word and video.
WASTECON attendees have the unique opportunity to have a dialogue on "anything and everything" WASTECON, from why they plan on attending, to what they enjoyed most, to interesting characters they met. The user-friendly "Around the Bin" blog provides simple directions so first time users can provide commentary at relative ease via the blog's comment tool.
The "Around the Bin" bloggers, all SWANA members, include: Jenna Jambeck, Ph.D, Department of Civil/Environmental Engineering Research Assistant Professor at University of New Hampshire; Michelle Minstrell, Project Manager at Gershman, Brickner & Bratton, Inc.; and Serina Wilkins, Benton County Solid Waste District Public Education Coordinator.
