Drivers Prepare For International Road-E-O Competition

First and second place winners of statewide and regional SWANA ROAD-E-O’s are getting ready to saddle up and compete in what promises to be one of 2008’s most exciting events: SWANA’s 2008 International ROAD-E-O!

The international event is designed to be a competitive test and measure of a driver’s skill behind the wheel, as well as his or her knowledge of the safety regulations and equipment used. This year's event is hosted by the Kentucky Blue Grass Chapter of SWANA. The International Truck ROAD-E-O will be held September 27, 2008 at the LFUCG Training Pad in Lexington, Kentucky and the International Landfill Equipment ROAD-E-O will be held at Whayne Supply Company in Louisville, Kentucky.

Companies that would like to promote their services and products within the solid waste industry – and show their support of SWANA at the same time – may choose from several sponsorship levels. Depending on the level, sponsorship “perks” include event program ads, booth displays, and recognition on widely distributed event materials such as t-shirts and posters. For more information, contact Linda Fromma at frommal@repsrv.com or call Mollie McClure at 859.887.9901. Participant and sponsorship packets are also available at www.swana.org.
