Kerry Kelly represents Waste Management (WM) before the Federal Executive Branch and Congress on environmental, energy, climate change, tax, and other issues affecting the company. Prior to joining WM in 2005, Ms. Kelly was Senior Director, Environment & Federal Affairs, for the American Chemistry Council, which represented chemical manufacturers on environmental, waste management, and site cleanup issues. She also served as Manager, Federal Relations, for Tenneco Inc., a global manufacturing company. Ms. Kelly’s government service includes serving as special assistant to the director of the Superfund program at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; professional staff member with the U.S. House Committee on Public Works and Transportation; and senior analyst with the Florida Legislature. Ms. Kelly has a Master’s degree in public affairs from the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin, and a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Florida. She serves as a Private Sector Director of the SWANA Board and as a Chair of the Landfill Gas & Biogas Technical Division Advocacy Committee.
