DTE Biomass Energy

SWANA’s 2018 Landfill Gas & Biogas Biggest Safety Improvement award went to DTE Biomass Energy. From 2016–2017, DTE Biomass Energy created hazard recognition and control programs, known as hazard severity list and life critical catalog process. This led to a 125% increase in completed job hazard assessments, and allowed for engineered solutions to either lower or eliminate risks entirely.
