US OSHA Presents Safety Grant Opportunity

April 11, 2024

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Susan Harwood Training Grant Program provides training and education programs for employers and workers on the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of safety and health hazards in their workplaces. The program also informs workers of their rights and employers of their responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act.

OHSA is hosting a webinar on April 30, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. ET to discuss how to prepare a competitive grant application. Registration for the webinar is available here.

Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations including qualifying labor unions; community-based, faith-based, grassroots organizations; employer associations; American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander tribes, entities and controlled organizations that are not an agency of a state or local government; and public/state-controlled institutions of higher education.

For more information, please visit the Susan Hardwood Training Grant Program webpage, which includes frequently asked questions.

If your organization plans to apply for a grant, please notify koldendorf@swana.org. SWANA is interesting in learning more about the types of projects being submitted for grants and potentially partnering with a qualifying organization in the future.
