SWANA Announces 2006 Excellence Award Winners

SWANA is pleased to announce this year's winners of the 2006 Excellence Awards. The Awards program for demonstrated excellence in the field of Solid Waste Management was created to recognize outstanding facilities, operations and programs committed to the "environmentally and economically sound management of solid waste," while at the same time, encouraging innovation. Each of SWANA's eight technical divisions has at least one award category through which they identify top-notch facilities, operations and programs. Award winners will be honored at WASTECON 2006 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Thursday, September 21 and also recognized throughout the year in SWANA newsletters, as well as in online and onsite events.

D., SWANA Executive Director and CEO. "These organizations are an inspiration to others in the solid waste industry."
