Ms. Righteous has nearly 32 years of environmental experience in the field of waste permitting, compliance, training, and project management. She is a native of Baton Rouge, LA. Previously, she served as the Waste Services Director for a local engineering and environmental firm. Currently, she serves as the Administrator of the Waste Permits Division of the LDEQ, overseeing the solid waste, hazardous waste, and waste tire programs. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Solid Waste Association (LSWA) where she serves as the Conference Chair for the Louisiana Environmental Conference and Trade Fair. In addition to her duties at the LDEQ, she serves as Region 6 Board Member for the Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste Management Officials (ASTSWMO) representing USEPA Region 6 states. She is the past Region 4 Director and member of the Board of Directors for the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). Currently, she serves as a member of SWANA’s Advisory Board and DEI Workgroup.
