In Memoriam: Kay Hickman

SWANA mourns the loss of Kay Hickman, former SWANA employee and wife of SWANA Founder Lanny Hickman. She passed away on February 7, 2024.

On a part-time basis using office space in their home, Kay Hickman took on the responsibilities of printing and mailing the newsletter and handling registration for the international seminar and equipment show. As time passed and the association grew to offer technical symposia, cooperative meetings with Chapters, and support of meetings in grants and contacts, Kay was designated Meetings Manager and provided complete meetings management services to GRCDA and SWANA.

Kay will be remembered as one of the key contributors to building GRCDA and SWANA into the international association it is today.
