SWANA Collaborates with Environment and Climate Change Canada

SWANA Director of Public Policy Kristyn Oldendorf met with representatives of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) at their offices in Ottawa on April 22, 2024, to discuss how SWANA and ECCC can strengthen collaboration on industry resources, education, and data.

Canada will be finalizing rules on methane emissions from landfills in the next few months. At the recent Canadian SWANA Conference, Susan Fraser of ECCC provided a keynote presentation on Canada’s actions and opportunities related to reducing landfill GHG emissions.
