SWANA's Annual Business Meeting Featured Keynote

SWANA’s Annual Meeting will feature Timothy Bouldry, who manages the International Solid Waste Association’s (ISWA) Scholarship Programme. Timothy spoke at WASTECON-2017 in Baltimore about this worthwhile initiative, which provides money to support families so their children can go to school instead of scavenging on dumpsites. The program begin at the La Chureca Landfill in Nicaragua and has expanded to include 71 children at dumpsites in Ethiopia, Honduras, India, Mexico, and Uganda.

Timothy will discuss some of the challenges the program has faced over the past few years, and the terrific “ISWA kids” that SWANA’s contributions have helped support.
