SWANA awarded Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) the Overall Winner Safety Award in 2018. LRS improved its Live Safety campaign to employees, their friends and family, and the communities it services, reducing incidents by over 50% from the previous year. Through constant communication every month on different safety topics, LRS educated and communicated the importance of safety to not only employees but the general public as well.
