Jim Wheeler was inducted into the Landfill Management Division Hall of Flame in 1998.

Jim worked for Gas Recovery Systems, Watson Energy Systems, Mandeville & Associates, and Landtec, circa 1979–1998. He developed standardized procedures and equipment for operation and maintenance of LFG recovery and processing systems.
